Cravings

Are you a female and struggle with cravings, bloating & mood swings?

Do you experience mood swings, or crave chocolate, carbs and salt, or bloat with fluid before your periods each month? Or perhaps can’t leave the house for anxiety, or burst into tears easily?

Today, let’s talk about female health.

The most common symptoms of PMS are:

·       Mood swings

·       Irritability

·       Anxiety

·       Fatigue

·       Bloating

·       Cramping

·       Breast tenderness or swelling

·       Headaches

·       Menstrual discomfort

·       Weight gain.

If you are female and struggle once a month with these symptoms, you probably have premenstrual tension, better known as premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

The good news is that Homeopathy can help. One of the most common remedy that is used is CHAMOMILLA. You would often experience increase or even extreme irritability and anger with short temper. Feel dissatisfied internally as well as with everything around you. Oversensitive to pain, noise, odour, or even touch. Symptoms often feel worse by drinking coffee or even just smelling it. Many physical symptoms are caused by anger.

How to use Homeopathic CHAMOMILLA and what potency?

Example advice:

Homeopath:
Can you please tell me what symptoms you are experiencing with PMS and how intensive they are?

Client 1:
Mild headaches. Pimples on my chin area. Get extremely angry.

Homeopath:
In this case of extreme anger, I would opt for 200c as your emotional symptom of anger sounds extreme. Try a minimum dose and see how it works for you. However, you can also repeat a dose daily for a few days before your period until your symptoms of anger subside. Hope this helps?

Client 2:
What dose of homeopathic Chamomilla would you suggest?

Homeopath:
The more intense the emotional symptoms the higher the potency to consider like 200c. Less intense emotional symptoms & more of the physical then the 30c potency will be sufficient and work well.

Client 3:
So my cycles have been pretty regular these past few months. I don’t have cramping anymore - just headaches a week prior and really emotional and sensitive and on edge. I know breastfeeding can still make hormones a bit whacky so that’s why I was wondering your thoughts on that in particular.

Homeopath:
Thank you for your question. I totally empathize with your feelings as I have been there with my little ones not long ago. You can read up about the remedies like Sepia, Pulsatilla, and Ignatia and see which one fits your totality of symptoms best?

Client 4:
What if the person has food cravings (eg chocolate, carbs, salty snacks), but no mood swings? What kind of remedy might be useful?

Homeopath:
With your food cravings there are many remedies to consider like Nux Vom, Lyco, Agn Nit, Nat Mur, Nat Sulph, Sepia, .... just to list a few. Can you be more specific about the symptoms you are experiencing, please?

If you have been struggling with cravings, bloating & mood swings for a while you might want to consider booking an individual consultation. These cravings & changes in emotions usually do not happen in a vacuum and can be related to other issues such as stresses, hormonal changes, or a history of injuries or infections. It is important to identify the underlying causes and then treat them to reset your body towards a happier, healthier, and more balanced YOU again!

I found Chamomilla one of my fav! Have you ever tried this remedy? What did you use it for?
